Nominet’s leadership holds ultimate responsibility for the governance of the .uk namespace. Board members and executives make decisions that shape the digital economy, affect SMEs, and determine whether the organisation fulfils its obligations to act in the public benefit.

This section conducts an independent evaluation of Nominet’s executives and directors. It will examine governance structures, financial disclosures, declared conflicts of interest, and track records of decision-making.

Where individuals have acted consistently in the public interest, that record will be recognised. Where conduct raises concerns, through conflicts, questionable governance, or failures in transparency, those concerns will be documented with evidence.

Leadership comes with accountability. The executive evaluation ensures that responsibility cannot be evaded by hiding behind collective decisions. Each individual entrusted with control of the .uk namespace will be assessed against the standards of transparency, fairness, and integrity that the public has the right to expect.
